US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Wess Mitchell will arrive in Cyprus on Friday, 16 March.
Mitchell who is on a tour of the Balkans and the Eastern Mediterranean will arrive in Cyprus following his visits to Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia and Greece.
The US Department of State made a statement regarding Mitchell’s contacts in Cyprus.
The statement said that during his stay in Cyprus, Mitchell will hold contacts on bilateral relations and regional issues including the latest developments on the natural gas issue.
Mitchell who will also have separate meetings with President Mustafa Akıncı and the Greek Cypriot leader Nicos Anastasiades will also come together with UN officials.
