North Cyprus will not be putting the clocks back on 30th October. Instead, the TRNC assembly has decided that it will follow Turkey and not return to daylight-saving time.
This will leave the north one hour ahead of South Cyprus.
Last year, Turkey delayed changing to daylight-saving time for one week, creating problems on the mainland and in the north as computers and smartphone automatically turned themselves back one hour.
On Thursday, Turkish ‘Daily Sabah’, reported that Turkish people will no longer “fall back”, after the cabinet’s decision that summer time would continue throughout the year in Turkey, was published on the Official Gazette on Thursday.
