Turkish water transfer expected in July

Environment and Natural Resources,Minister Hakan Dincyurek, has said that he expects the water supply from Turkey to arrive in the North by the middle of July.

North Cyprus News - Turkish-water-project75 million cubic meters of water annually will be transferred from Turkey to Cyprus by a pipeline which is 250 meters under the sea.
Dincyurek, said the aim is to have the water arrive on 20 July, the anniversary of the 1974 Turkish peace keeping mission in Cyprus.

The project which cost over 500 million USD, was launched to supply the water and irrigation needs of the population in the TRNC.
