The Tepebaşı Tulip festival will begin on Saturday, March 17th with opening speeches given in the village square at 11.00 am after a procession.
Concerts, dance shows, two community folk dances and music teams will take place. Guests will be able to participate in nature walks, where they can see the Cyprus Lalas with a tour guide.
The Tulip Festival is organised in cooperation with Tepebaşı Culture and Art, Nature Conservation Society and Lapta Municipality in order to draw attention to the danger of the disappearance of the “Cyprus Tulip”, which is one of the endemic plants of the country and also known as “Yorgoz” or “Medoş”.
The festival, which is held on the third weekend of March every year, is the 14th to be held.
