Tomorrow, polling stations open for the presidential election in South Cyprus.
Current poll leader is Nikos Anastasiades, head of DISI. The other main contenders are Stavros Malas for AKEL and Giorgos Charalambous for ELAM.
There are 11 candidates in total, some running as independents and for the first time, there are a number of female candidates.
The current President Dimitris Christofias, who has been in power since 2008, has not put himself up for re-election.
There are 604 Turkish Cypriot voters out of a 504,180 registered voters. Greek Cypriots and Maronites living in the TRNC will be transported to South Cyprus for the day, if they wish to vote.
The winning candidate must get more than 50% of the vote, if this does not happen, then the two strongest candidates go to a second round.
