KAMU-İŞ union who went on a one-day warning strike on Thursday, on showed the government a yellow card, “Do not force us to show a red card” was the message from KAMU-İŞ and other unions.
Head of the Public Service Workers Union (KAMU-İŞ) Ahmet Serdaroğlu said that he hoped he would meet with Prime Minister Tufan Erhürman at noon today and that the chaos would end. However, if a satisfactory result from the meeting could not be achieved, they would plan their next moves together with the 12 trade unions and show their solidarity.
Prime Minister Erhürman said that he would meet with the unions about the 11 items in the public service workers bill debated by the Assembly,
The Prime Minister emphasised that it is very important for the public reform debates to be reduced to 11 articles.
Erhürman said that he had contacted the trade unions before going to the UK to discuss the related 11 items with them. He said that the meeting to be held today with the trade unions would be a one-stop meeting.
