President Mustafa Akinci and President Nicos Anastasiades will attend a musical event at the Othello Tower in Famagusta next week.
This is the second artistic performance being held at the Tower in less than a month since it re-opened earlier this month following extensive restoration by the bi-communal Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage, the European Commission and the United Nations Development Programme Partnership for the Future (UNDP-PFF).
“Our Music Under the Moonlight” will be staged by the bi-communal music group “Kyprogenia” next Tuesday evening.
The concert is being organised by the Technical Committee on Culture and will be open to the public with free admission.
The opening event on 2nd July included a performance of the “Othello” by William Shakespeare (above photo) by a young bi-communal performing group.
The castle gets its name from Shakespeare’s famous play Othello, which is set in “a harbour town in Cyprus”.
