Leader of the People’s Party (HP) Kudret Ozersay, has filed an application to the assembly to launch an investigation into whether Prime Minister Huseyin Ozgurgun’s declaration of assets is the same or not since he came to office.
In a written statement, the HP asked the chief public prosecutor’s office to investigate whether Ozgurgun’s declaration of property corresponds or not to the one he submitted when he came to power and whether or not he notified the assembly if there was a change to his property assets.
In another article, Turkish Cypriot daily ‘Afrika’ on its front page, reports that Tufan Erhurman, leader of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) said that Ozgurgun had not made any announcements regarding his bank accounts according to the declaration of property law.
In a written statement, Erhurman called on the prime minister to make a declaration regarding his bank accounts and added: “His silence cannot be accepted. If you cannot make a declaration on this, Ozgurgun, then you should immediately withdraw your candidacy”.
