A press conference was held on the behalf of 36 organisations united against the continuation of summer time in the TRNC.
The 36 organisations, including unions, NGOs and political party representatives have organised a petition urging people who are against keeping summer time permanent, to sign.
KTAMS Chairman Ahmet Kaptan argued that UBP-DP government acted like a representative of another country, not the government of this country standing against the the continuation of summer time practice.
Organising Secretary of KTAMS Devrim Barçın, has said a lawsuit could be presented next week if the government does not reverse its decision not to put back the clocks for daylight saving time, which was illegal.
The organisation plans to present the signed petition to Prime Minister Hussein Ozgurgun on Thursday, 19 October.
