The government has welcomed in the New Year with a host of price increases.
The Council of Ministers have approved increases in most fees and licenses. This has not been well received, particularly as there has been no increase in the minimum wage for the last two years.
Driving licenses, tuition fees, car registration fees, wedding licenses, work and residency permit fees have all gone up by 4% to 6%.
A common complaint is that while the 13th month salary was finally paid, it is now being clawed back with these price increases.
