During the first 9 months of 2013, there have been 25 fatal traffic accidents where 31 lives have been lost.
This trend has been accelerating and in September alone, there were three fatal accidents where five people died, including two children.
Of the 31 deaths this year, 11 were drivers and another 11 were passengers.
It has emerged that the primary reason for these accidents were speeding or inattention.
Head of the Traffic Accident Prevention Association Mehmet Avci, says that the accidents are caused by excessive speed and that the deaths occurred because the car occupants were not wearing seat belts.
