Prime Minister Kucuk is back in court today.
Last month, Nicosia Court stripped him of his powers as Chairman of UBP, the ruling party. The court held that there had been procedural irregularities during the UBP leadership election between him and another contender, Ahmet Kasif, and that the election result was invalid.
Mr Kucuk has applied to the court to have his powers as chairman reinstated.
The Court is aware of the sensitivity of this case and has agreed to hear the disputing parties today and will reach a decision in the next few days.
