Turkish Cypriot police are sifting through the remains of burned books, computer hard disks and a USB stick, said to be about the exiled Turkish cleric Fethullah Gülen.

Reportedly someone had attempted to destroy the books and disks at a rubbish dump in Mehmetcik. The investigation continues.

Meanwhile, according to Cyprus Weekly, Turkish Cypriot media reports claim that Turkey will be sending a delegation to the TRNC to begin looking for potential co-conspirators in the recent failed coup attempt which took place in Turkey on Friday evening.

Cyprus Weekly writes that according to sources, Turkish Chief of the General Staff Hulusi Akar has given the order for a special task force to be sent to the North to begin an investigation into the military command on the island for any possible involvement in the coup.
