Hellim Wars

The Greek Cypriot Ministry of Commerce held a press briefing yesterday declaring that they would be deciding on the fines to be imposed on manufacturers of hellim that were not meeting the 23% goat/sheep milk levels.

Apparently samples taken from the product range of three well known South Cyprus producers did not meet quality levels.

The Ministry also noted that during their bid to patent the Hallumi or Halloumi name, there had been 11 objections. 8 of these had come from the TRNC.
