President Mustafa Akinci has called on the next government to be voted in at the forthcoming elections, to raise the necessary funding for the Immovable Property Commission (IPC) so that it can work in a faster and more effective manner.
In statements during a meeting with a delegation from TAK news agency yesterday, Akinci said the following regarding the IPC, the term of duty of which was extended recently:
“After the decision by the European Court of Human Rights, the IPC became even more significant. It is very important for the IPC to take decisions in a fast manner and implement whatever is required by these decisions. The extension of its term of office is not enough. The important thing is what is done within this term of office. The new government should discuss the creation of the necessary resources for faster and more effective work by the IPC and implementation of its decisions”.
