Caglayan Cesurer, former head of the Turkish Cypriot Electricians Union El-Sen, has appeared at Kyrenia Magistrate’s court, accused of sexual harassment.
Cesurer was arrested after a complaint was made by the family of a teenage girl to the Kyrenia police.
He went to the house of a family friend in Hisarkoy to repair a television set and then reportedly sexually harassed the girl who was present at the time.
He was released on bail and forbidden to leave the country. Cesurer was also ordered to report three times weekly at the police station.
