The Minister for Tourism Culture and the Environment Unal Ustal, met with local council members at Esentepe yesterday.
He got a first-hand look at two projects that his department is managing, with funding coming from Turkey.
The first project, which is in its early planning stages, is the restoration of an historic oil and flour mill.
The second more advanced project, is for the creation of Esentepe public beach. This scheme includes an access road, accommodation, a cafeteria, car-park and restaurant, and will go to tender by the end of the month.
Phase two of the scheme at the end of June, will see the construction of changing rooms, toilets and showers.
