An earthquake shook Cyprus around 5.30 pm on Saturday. Initial reports state that the tremor was felt all over the island. People reported that they felt the earthquake, contacting radio stations and posting in social media outlets
Police said phone lines are flooded with people calling for information, police said.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismology Centre the epicentre of the 5.9-Richter quake was 208km north west of Nicosia off the coast of Turkey.
