Donald Tusk, head of the European Council, will be paying an official visit to Cyprus on 9th September after a visit to Israel and Palestine, government sources confirmed on Thursday.
South Cyprus government spokesperson, Nikos Christodoulides told Radio Proto that Tusk will have one to one talks with President Nicos Anastasiades.
The Cyprus problem, the South’s economy, EU issues and President Anastasiades’ initiative to help facilitate the Israel-Palestine conflict will be on Tusk’s agenda.
Following the meeting, Tusk and Anastasiades will hold a press conference and in the evening they will sit down to a dinner hosted by Anastasiades, Christodoulides said.
Tusk will also travel to the TRNC, where he will hold a meeting with Turkish Cypriot President Mustafa Akinci, Christodoulides said.
