The Near East University Car Museum has a display of cars belonging to the 20th and 21st centuries in the first and only car museum in Cyprus.
There have been over 40,000 visitors to the museum, made up of locals, foreign tourists, students, young people and classic car enthusiasts.
Among the collection are the first models of marques such as Mercedes, Ford, Ferrari, BMW, which are fixtures in the automobile world, in the museum, which provides a kind of time-lapse tour of the cars in its collection.
The museum houses the last remaining rare examples of the first cars manufactured and first produced in the world. There are many legendary vehicles such as Jaguar, the Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster and Dodge Viper SRT10 Final Edition, which have exceeded speeds of 300 km along with classic vehicles such as the 1899 Model Crestmobil, a 1903 model Wolseley and a 1909 model Buick sports car which have drawn in the tourists.
The museum, which exhibits dozens of car types both classical and sports, is open five days a week Monday to Friday between 8.30 – 17.00.
