The four-party coalition government’s programme is being debated in parliament today.
This morning, the parliamentary general assembly convened to discuss the government programme which had been read out in parliament by Prime Minister Tufan Erhürman on Friday, 9 February.
A vote of confidence will be held on Wednesday, 14 February if the debate on the government programme is completed today.
Constitutional procedure dictates that discussions on the government programme are held two days after it has been introduced to parliament, to be followed by a vote of confidence a day after the debates on the programme are concluded.
26 votes in favour will be needed for the government program to receive a vote of confidence.
The four-party coalition government is being represented by 27 MPs in the Republic’s Assembly.
