North Cyprus businessman Asil Nadir, has reportedly been attacked by his cellmate.
The 71 year old business tycoon, who was jailed for 10 years, after being found guilty of embezzling £28.6 million from his company, Polly Peck International, apparently took his mentally unstable cellmate to task for not showering and having poor personal hygiene. This provoked the man into attacking Nadir. It is said that the authorities are concerned for Nadir’s safety.
Asil Nadir known as the “Sultan of Berkeley Square”, built a multinational conglomerate dealing with food, electronics and leisure from a small textile business.
