Polling stations closed at 6pm this evening for the second round of the presidential elections.
Dervis Eroglu and Mustafa Akinci went head to head in the second round. 62% turned out for the voting, which was the same number as last Sunday’s first round vote.
The Supreme Electoral Council has started releasing the results and at present according to the ballots opened, Akinci is in the lead with 62.67% – Eroglu has 37.33%.
So far 171 ballots have been opened.
