Akinci offers condolences for Ankara bombings

President Mustafa Akinci has given his condolences to Turkey for the Ankara bombings. The President signed the book of condolences at the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia, saying that he and the people of the TRNC condemned this heinous attack.

Flags are flying at half mast and the TRNC will be in mourning for three days, he said that “If Ankara was crying, Nicosia was crying too”.

Akinci said that he hoped political issues would be solved not through violence, but peaceful and democratic dialogue.
