“Be mine or die”

Oner Yalcin was arrested for damaging a woman’s car and threatening to kill her. He claimed to be in love with Serpil Sari who told him that she did not feel the same.

When she refused his advances,  Yalcin damaged the front of her car and threatened her saying, “you will be mine or die”. He was arrested for his threatening behaviour but escaped from police custody. The police searched for him for two days and finally found him hiding in a ravine river bed in Aslankoy on December 5th.

Yalcin appeared at Famagusta Court where the police produced records showing that he had a previous conviction for threatening behaviour  He will be held for up to 15 days while police complete their investigations.
